Marcus is a cinematographer from Birmingham, Alabama. He received his MFA from UCLA’s School of Theater, Film, and Television where he was nominated for the ASC Student Heritage Award and won the 2017 Norris Film Foundation Award. His latest feature film Sunfish (and Other Stories on Green Lake) was shot in Interlochen, Michigan with an interim agreement during the 2023 labor strikes. His films have premiered at SXSW, Telluride Film Festival, Stockholm International Film Festival, and International Festival Rotterdam. He lives in Sherman Oaks with his wife Katelyn and son Theron.
